Saturday, February 22, 2020 is National Margarita Day. Image: Green Ghost Tacos

In celebration of National Margarita Day Saturday, don’t miss these five spots to enjoy those frozen (or on the rocks) concoctions to help you hang on (someone pass the salt…)

Green Ghost Tacos – Fondren
Enjoy $5 House Margaritas, $7 Altos Margaritas and $8 Avion Elevated Margaritas, not to mention some of the best, most authentic Mexican food in the city.

Picantes – Belhaven
This laid-back Mexican restaurant in Belhaven is popular with the senior college crowd and offers 2 for 1 margarita specials daily – on the rocks or frozen – but, plan to drink both yourself. There’s no sharing.

Sophomore Spanish Club – LeFleur East
Hey preppie: this kitschy 90s themed spot at the District at Eastover has “our favorite,” “your favorite” and “my French teacher’s favorite” margaritas on their menu, sure to give you a few options. And on Saturday, their house margarita on the rocks will be $2.22 all. day. long. (!!!)

El Centro Grill – Downtown
With Happy Hour 4-8 p.m. everyday, margaritas are two for $8. How’s that for a National Margarita Day celebration?!

Sal & Mookie’s – Fondren
Stick with me here: yes, the pizza place – for margaritas. With a cozy bar up front (and full menu service available there, too), the restaurant’s Mook-a-Ritas are $5 all day. Wings and margs? Sounds good!
