Fondren Hosting ‘Restaurant Week’ October 10-18

With the promise of “nine days of dishes and drinks in Jackson’s colorful culinary district,” Fondren Renaissance Foundation will host Fondren Restaurant Week, October 10-18.
The neighborhood’s historic downtown business district claims more than 20 restaurants, bars, coffee shops and bakeries, all within walking distance of each other.
“We are happy to share our Fondren foodie riches with the greater Jackson area,” said Su Bunniran, co-chair of restaurant week.
“We are fortunate to have everything from New York Style pizza to oysters to tacos to our Southern staples like pimento cheese,” added co-chair Britney Moss. “And, we’ve got you covered for breakfast, lunch and dinner – not to mention cocktail hour.”
In addition, local historian and travel agent Jane Halbert Jones will offer a one-and-a-half-hour “Fondren Highlight” walking tour, Friday, October 16 at 6:30 p.m. The tour, which begins at Green Ghost Tacos, is $20 per person. Reservations are required.
