Duling Hall Adds COVID-Requirements to Attend Shows

Want to enjoy your favorite band or comedian at Fondren’s most popular concert venue?
Effective August 31, entry to Duling Hall will require proof of a full course COVID-19 vaccination, with a final dose at least fourteen days prior to the event or proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within the previous 72 hours prior to the event.
A press release says the measure is being taken “for the health and safety of our patrons, staff, and artists…”
Patrons will be required to provide proof of documentation along with a matching, valid ID for verification. “Such documentation needs to be directly from the healthcare provider that performed the vaccination, or the negative COVID-19 test within the previous 72 hours,” Duling Hall says. “Such proof may be presented as a physical copy or displayed on a smartphone.”
All Duling Hall concerts on or after August 30, 2021, are affected by this policy.
“Due to the recent surge in COVID-19’s Delta Variant cases across Mississippi, and throughout the country, we encourage other venues to join in on our mission to help slow the spread of this virus.”
“Implementing this measure will allow musicians to earn a living, our staff to be employed, and live music to have a place in society again. We cannot wait to get back to normal, but in the meantime, we ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate the ever-changing landscapes of the pandemic as an independent music venue.”
