Sometimes, your sweet tooth gets a hankering, and it wants donuts.

Nothing beats a classic glazed donut or a chocolate donut with sprinkles, or, if you feel fancy, something more creative.

Here are a few places to grab a dozen or two when you’re craving the sweet treat.

Campbell’s Craft Donuts

Campbell’s Craft Donuts – 1121 N Jefferson Street
Jackson’s newest donut shop, Campbell’s Craft Donuts, serves from-scratch craft donuts that are like nothing you’ve seen before.

The shop recently opened in the Belhaven Town Center and is the launching point for the devlopment. Their sister company, Campbell’s Bakery, knows what they’re doing when it comes to sweet treats, so their donuts are sure to be up to par with their other pastries. Along with classic glazed and chocolate glazed, other donut flavors include Captain Crunch – filled with Captain Crunch cream, white glaze, and topped with cereal piece, and PB & J – filled with grape jelly, a peanut butter glazed, and topped with crushed peanuts.

The shop also serves breakfast and lunch street tacos along with loaded tots, Grit Fritters and other savory dishes.

Be on the lookout on their Facebook or Instagram for new flavors.

Monroe’s

Monroe’s Donuts – multiple locations
A Jackson area staple, Monroe’s Donuts has been serving up delicious donuts and other pastries for the last 23 years.

What started out in Monroe Jackson’s home on Medger Evers Boulevard has since turned into multiple Jackson area storefronts. Now with three locations in Jackson, Monroe’s Donuts is open Monday through Saturday. Whether you visit at McDowell Road, Northbrook Drive or Medger Evers, you’re sure to get the freshest and most delicious pastries.

Daylight Donuts

Daylight Donuts – 5036 Parkway Drive in Colonial Mart Shopping Center
Your classic donut shop, Daylight Donuts is serving up everything from glazed to strawberry iced to cream filled donuts, cake donuts, and chocolate donuts.

Made fresh daily, the selection at Daylight Donuts is endless, and they even have other breakfast treats to go along with donuts. Choose from several different kolaches, breakfast burritos, biscuits and croissants to complete your morning meal. And, of course, don’t forget to grab a coffee.
